Light Gardening & Yard Work for Seniors

Please note that we are currently providing yard maintenance services only if required on an ongoing basis (i.e. we are not providing one-off services at this time).

Spring is here! Are you a senior and finding it challenging or no longer possible to maintain your garden or yard on your own? We understand that the upkeep of your property plays an important role in maintaining your independence and that no longer being able to carry out the required tasks it not only frustrating, but can lead to feeling a loss of control. Remember: most of what is required is not an easy job, and you are not alone.

Throughout the warmer seasons, lawn care, gardening, and yard maintenance are among our most-requested services. If you’re finding that you could use the help, we’re here to provide it.

Our service providers can help you prepare and maintain your garden and lawn so that you can spend more time enjoying them. And, as mature adults with an appreciation for what it means to age —often having taken care of aging family members of their own– they are eager to make a difference specifically in the lives of seniors in our community. For them, there is no greater reward than seeing you smile after their work is done.

Our caregivers can assist you with yard clean up after a harsh Ottawa winter, setting up your patio and weeding your gardens in the spring, maintaining your lawn and gardens throughout the summer, raking your property in the Fall, and winterizing your plants before the cold hits.

Give us a call at 613-422-7676 or e-mail [email protected] to let us know what your gardening, yard work, and/or lawn care needs are and we will check the availability of our service providers in your area. Please note that we generally require clients to supply the necessary tools, materials and supplies, although we have a limited number of service providers that carry their own tools.

Rest assured that our service providers are conscientious of COVID-19 physical distancing rules and follow a set of precautionary measures prescribed by Seniors on Site (as per current regulations set out by Ontario’s public health authorities). In serving the population most vulnerable to the virus, we take the health, safety, and well-being of our seniors very seriously.
