New Ontario Electricity Support Program – You may be eligible
You or someone you know may be eligible for The Ontario Electricity Support Program. This program helps reduce electricity bills for low-income households with a monthly on-bill credit. The amount of the credit will depend on how many people live in your home and your combined household income. Find out if you are eligible and how to apply. DRUG STORES
Shoppers Drug Mart
Shoppers Drug Mart offers a Senior’s Day the last Thursday of every month. Seniors get 20% off with a Shoppers Optimum Card (which can be obtained free of charge at the store) and 15% without an Optimum card. Discounts exclude: sale items, prescriptions, insulin, codeine, tobacco products, newspapers, stamps, lottery and bus tickets, electronic gift cards and prepaid phone cards. Discounts may not exceed $50. Shoppers also have Super Senior’s Day every few months. Information on those days will be listed in that week’s flyer.
Rexall Pharma Plus
Seniors save 20% the last Tuesday of every month. Applies to regular prices; excluding sale items, prescriptions, products with codeine, home health care products, gift cards, lottery tickets, transit tickets, baby formula and diapers, prepaid phone cards, cigarettes, milk, bread and photofinishing.

Hudson’s Bay is a national chain of department stores and offers a 15% discount to seniors across Ontario on the first Tuesday of each month.

ScotiaBank
The Scotia Plus Program for Seniors age 59 and over offers no monthly fee for up to 40 debit transactions (teller or non-teller) each month. Services Include: your choice of passbook or statement, free personalized Scotia Plus cheques, no service fees for certified or post-dated cheques and stop payments, no commission fees for bank drafts, money orders or regular American Express Travellers Cheques, and a discount of $5 on the annual rental fee for any size safety deposit box.

Best Western
Seniors age 55 or older receive at least 10% off regular room rates at any of the nearly 2,400 Best Western locations in North America and many of the more than 1,700 locations elsewhere in the world.
Canadian Pacific Hotels
Seniors receive 10% – 30% off regular room (rack) rates to AARP and CARP members. Restrictions and blackout dates may apply.
Choice Hotels International
If you are a 60+ traveler, you are entitled to savings of 20% – 30% when you book in advance at any of these participating hotels: Clarion, Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality, Sleep Inn, Econo Lodge, MainStay Suites, Rodeway Inn.

For seniors age 50 and older, September Days Club allows members to enjoy great discounts of 15% – 50% off standard room rates at more than 1,900 Days Inn hotels.
Sandman Hotels
Seniors age 55 and older will find fabulous discounts (approximately 25% off regular rates) at all 26 locations throughout Western Canada all year long.
CITY OF OTTAWA
Recreation Programs
Participants who are 65 years of age and over can receive a discount of 10% when registering for adult programs offered at all recreation facilities. Seniors rates exist for memberships as well as public swimming pools and skating rinks.
OC Transpo
Seniors 65+ are entitled to a monthly pass for $26.25. Seniors 65 and older can ride free all day on Wednesdays. This offer includes all bus routes and the O-Train, but does not include Para Transpo. Seniors who pay-per-ride with cash or PRESTO will save on regular-fare routes; pay just $2 per trip any day of the week. These are big savings compared to adult fares or bus tickets.
